District Governor Visit

During his official visit to our club September 1, DG Paul Puliken presented three club members with "Lead by Example" pins. The members he honored were: Gordon Bartlett, Gary Gray, and Jeanie Morgan.

Membership is a high priority in the District this year. If we shrink too far in membership, we are at risk of being merged with another district. He asked each member to share Rotary with their best friend as well as others in their circle of influence.

The DG spoke about growing up in India and going back as an adult when he witnessed the poverty in one of India's worst slum areas. He has been involved in Rotary projects to help improve living conditions for those who have no hope without help. Because of the difference grants from The Rotary Foundation can make, he encouraged giving to TRF during his presentation as well as at his meeting with the club's officers and directors following the regular meeting.
