Shane Delaney and Don Klostermeier were among those who paid happy bucks prior to the Sgt. at Arms program featuring Olympic Games trivia.

During the business meeting, Coin Chair, Ed Weber gave a report on the coin project following an historic decision made when a vote was taken on a recommendation by the board to not resume selling coins under the bridge.   Included in the recommendation was a stipulation that each member will be required to sell at one special event during the year in addition to their required sales at the London Bridge Days Parade.

Lake Havasu residents and visitors to our community were treated to stunning sights again January 15-17.

The event is a perfect example of the good things that can happen when two great organizations - Rotary and Lions - collaboratively work together and invite volunteers from the community to join their efforts.

The funds raised will again make an enormous difference in our community through the non-profit organizations that will receive donations from the participating clubs.

In 1970, when the London Bridge was dedicated in Lake Havasu City, the London Bridge Rotary Club sold a commemorative coin to memorialize the event.  Each year since then, they have introduced a new coin design.  It has become a tradition to introduce each new coin at the annual London Bridge Days Parade held each October.  The 2015-16 Coin is dedicated to our own city "An Oasis in the Desert."
