Members responded with some significant "Happy Bucks" and members knew the answers to most of the Sgt. at Arms weekly trivia questions

President Lois presided over our monthly business meeting, a highlight of which, was a presentation about the recent Razr Raffle process and proceeds delivered by Anthony Marr and John Parrott.  It was nice to have good attendance for the business meeting and those who were present were able to hear some thoughtful and respectful discussion about matters before the club.

The winning marble still hasn't been pulled from the bag...

Dr. Fati Atassi won the Razor after re-entering the auction after his ticket had been pulled. He bought one of the designated "Auction" tickets for $1050 to reenter and his ticket won!!  It was actually ticket #23, which is the SAME ticket that was pulled to win the Harley at the Harley Raffle!!  Ticket #23 is officially the lucky ticket.

At the September 14 club meeting, our program for the day highlighted one of our own club's projects.  Chris Millet told of his summer studies in London as a recipient of one of three City of London/London Bridge Rotary Educational Fund scholars selected last spring.  Chris is the first student from ASU Havasu to have this opportunity.  His slide presentation and his enthusiastic description of all that he enjoyed while abroad was inspiring.

Windy, but otherwise beautiful, weather prevailed at the 38th Annual London Bridge Invitational Track Meet held at Thunderbolt Middle School in Lake Havasu City, Saturday, March 26, 2016.

Lake Havasu residents and visitors to our community were treated to stunning sights again January 15-17.

The event is a perfect example of the good things that can happen when two great organizations - Rotary and Lions - collaboratively work together and invite volunteers from the community to join their efforts.

The funds raised will again make an enormous difference in our community through the non-profit organizations that will receive donations from the participating clubs.

In 1970, when the London Bridge was dedicated in Lake Havasu City, the London Bridge Rotary Club sold a commemorative coin to memorialize the event.  Each year since then, they have introduced a new coin design.  It has become a tradition to introduce each new coin at the annual London Bridge Days Parade held each October.  The 2015-16 Coin is dedicated to our own city "An Oasis in the Desert."
